"I have two rescues with no prior training. I wanted a remote training collar that I can sync in a single remote. I didn't want to worry about handling two different remotes and mistakenly zapping the wrong dog. Thankfully, the mini educator comes with this two dog model. My suggestion is to start with the lowest setting and then work your way up slowly. Remember that the setting will not always be the same for diffrent dogs. For my pitties, one responded well at level 12. The other took up to level 25 before he started listening. You lso need to make sure that the collars fit proeprly. The prongs must touch the skin on the dog's neck so the stimulation is delivered consistently every time. Use the collar with positive reinforcement. It may be confusing because a lot of people associate shock collars with something negative. However, it's not hard to do the opposite. For my dogs, every time they respond correctly, they get a treat. I've had the mini educator for a little over a week now and I can say that it's been working great. My dogs are a lot calmer and we're communicating better. For first time e-collar users though, please read the manual and watch tutorials to help you get started. Don't go into e-collar training without at least trying to learn to use it properly otherwise you may end up hurting your dog. This is not a cheap collar. But it can help tremendously with dog training if used correctly."

This was recommended by our trainer. We love it and it is an effective training tool. However, set up could have been easier. Recommend you get a trainer to help you get started so you know what and what not to do.

This is not our first e-collar puchase from this same brand. We keep coming back because Educator collars are very reliable. The build feels premium and durable.

Before using an e-collar though, make sure that you learn how to use it properly. There are many articles and videos online that give great training tips. This will help in successfully and efficiently training your dog.

The remote on the ET-302 is very responseve. It also has a feedback light on the receiver when you push the trigger. The best thing about this remote however, is the stimulation levels that go up to 100. You most likely won't ever need to go that high ever but the wide range means the increase from one level to the next is incremental and won't shock your dog too much. Personally, I only ever had my dog at level 8 at the highest and prefer to use vibration. The only downside to that is the vibration is stuck at one level unlike the shock feature. It worked for my dog though so no issues here.

The batteries last fairly long. I just wish the battery percentage is displayed so it's easier to see if I need to charge already.

I use this collar when taking my dogs on walks and hikes. It's like having an invisible leash. Strongly recommended for anyone hoping to train their dog.

My dog trainer recommeded this. He also helped us understand how to use it properly. This was used to train a lab and a golden retriever, both with generally mild to normal temperaments but need some reminding sometimes. I used the vibration mainly because I was never comfortable with the idea of using a zapper. The vibration worked well anyway. It stopped the barking and got them to focus on what we're supposed to be learning for the day.

Our trainer highly recommends this and uses the same brand and model in all his dog training classes. Great for strong-willed and normal temperament dogs alike.

My dogs have an uncanny knack for finding water to swim in and their last collar pretty much broke from being waterlogged. I'm happy to find this collar. So far, it's holding up pretty well. I use the vibration as a warning before using shock if the dogs still don't listen.

We recently got a new puppy and needed to add a collar for him so we upgraded to this system. This really helped with getting him to focus and learn commands. We use the vibration + shock feature. We usually tap the vibrate button to get his attention and only use the shock if the vibration fails to get him to focus. So far, training is going well.

The ET-302 remote is easily customizable to handle 2 dogs. Two different color buttons make it easier to identify which dog is getting the stimulation. The range is just perfect for yard training, too.

We highly recommend this collar. It's a mini but the stimulation is strong so it should be able to handle bbigger dogs as well.

The manual is not a big help. Watch YouTube tutorials for assistance. Using this on my two boxers.

We have 2 very small dogs, a mini pin and a dachshund. They both need some training reinforcementso we purchased this collar. The vibration works for both of them.

I've read a lot of reviews before about e-collars being good "communication tools" and honestly, I didn't see it. I tried a (different brand) e-collar before and my Corgi was so scared of the collar before I even tried any of the features so I gave up on it.

Recently, I got a second Corgi. He was very reactive and I was having trouble getting him to follow commands. He knows the basics but chooses when he wants to listen to me. I knew it was time to try e-collar training again. But I wanted one that's easier to use and more comfortable for my dogs. My friend recommended getting this e-collar.

I'm so happy with this purchase. For starters, the collar strap can be cut to size so it sits more comfortable on their necks. This also came with shock, vibration and tone so I had options regarding what to use. I did end up using the shock as both dogs respond better to it but both of them are just within the 5-8 levels out of 100 so it's still very low. My first dog responds much more quickly now while the second responds ALL the time so it's a win. We practice for a few minutes twice a day within the yard and I give them treats so it's more positive and they don't think they're being punished. Reactivity issues are all but gone now. I also noticed no more leash pulling from both.

Word of advice though. Before I started training, I watched a lot of training videos online. It helps to do that so you know how to properly use the e-collar.

Over-all, I am very happy with this e-collar.

This remote training collar is so easy to use. It's waterproof so rainy and snowy weather are not an issue. It has rechargeable batteries so it also saves a lot of money from having to buy new batteries all the time. A definite must have for dog training.

Easy to use. Easy to get on and off the dog's neck. Dogs respond well to it. Training is going very well. What else could I ask for.

This collar was purchased to help with training two dogs that are very stubborn. Set-up was a bit more complicated than expected and the manual didn't really help much on that. But one call to customer service got us sorted out. The dogs respond quickly now and in a few more days, we're going to try getting the dogs outside and offleash already. This really helped tremendously with our control issues. Great product. Highly recommend.

This is a great product and has worked wonders for training my two french bulldogs. The only thing I would have liked better is to have more color options for the collars. I can purchase a different color strap but I didn't want to spend extra.

I use this collar for my own dogs and the dogs that I train. I always recommend Educator collars to my clients for ease of use and reliability. Whether the issue is obedience, recall or reactivity, this collar is a great training aid.

This collars are excatly what we needed to continue and build on basic obedience training for our dogs. The collars work great and both can be controlled from the single remote. Battery life could be longer but other than that, this collar is fantastic!

What's so great about this collar is the shock isn't very sharp. I tested it on myself before putting the collar on my dogs and I don't know how to explain properly but the shock isn't a piercing pain but rather a dull one if that makes sense. Bottom line is I don't think it will hurt your dog. It didn't phase my dogs at all but it was enough to get their attention every time. It did take up to level 30 though because I have two very stubborn labs but I'm hoping with further training we can get to lower levels soon.

This is not a cheap collar. However they work great. I do wonder if getting a second remote would be better and less confusing but that would likely bump up the price even more.

I can't sing this collar's praises enough. I love it. I love it. My two dogs cannot be more different and this lets me customize the correction levels for each of them. I had a Garmin collar before and it was too strong for my sensitive dog. The Mini Educator didn't give me that problem. I started at the lowest level and was able to gradually increase until we found a level that works without hurting. The Mini Educator remote fits my hand very nicely, none of the bulkiness so common with other brands. Set-up did take me a while to figure out but once that's done, everything was just so easy. This is the perfect collar for my dogs.

Educators are the BEST dog training collars. We used to have the mini educator but one of our labs got his paws on it one day and chewed through the remote. We bought this as a replacement. The vibration is perfect for training. One remote syncs with two collars so there's also no need to keep toggling between remotes to deliver correction.
