I was worried that e collar will hurt my girl so I was skeptical about buying. It doesn't hurt at all. Felt more like quick taps than anything else.

We've always been a fan of Educator Collars. We had our old one for years before it finally gave up on us. It never gave us any issues. This one was purchased to replace the old unit. I'm confident it will also last a very long time.

I purchased a cheap collar off Amazon some time back and it was horrible. The jump from one level to the next was so intense that my dog literally yelped and jumped in the air. With this collar, I am more comfortable because the change is incremental and I know it won't hurt my dog.

This is an awesome collar. Recommended.

Bought for 1-year-old Rottweiler

Awesome range on this collar. Battery lasts 3-4 days.

The collar came as described. However, I think this is not for all dogs because my German Shepherd/Rottweiler mix does not respond to it at all. I'll try to paly with the levels and maybe try a different mode. I will update my review if there's a change.

We got this upon the advice of a professional dog trainer. It has helped our pup focus and did not cause distress. This is a great training tool.

Th controls are too sensitive! It doesn't matter if I have the remote on my hand, in my pocket or around my neck with a lanyard, bump the button even slightly and you end up accidentally zapping your poor dog.

We purchased both the Mini Educator and the Educator because we wanted a smaller collar for our dog. I was surprised to see that the difference in sizes is very minimal, if at all. At the end we decided to keep the ET-400 because it has a longer range at 3/4 mile versus the 1/2 mile on the mini.

Both the remote and collar worked well upon testing. Our dog was actually trained on an Educator collar so I am familiar with how the remote works already. Our dog hates the vibration with a passion so we use the static stimulation on him.

Over-all, this is a good company and collar.

I'm not new to e-collars. I've tried three other brands before, all cheaper than the ET-400. Did not like any of them and regretted wasting the money. I finally caved and decided to buy a more expensive collar and the Educator brand has some good reviews.

I liked that this collar immediately got a reaction from my Great Pyrenees. The other collars hardly fazed him. On this, he responds almost 100% of the time. This collar has a vibration option and stimulus. I have him on level 40 of the stimulus. It's enough to get his attention. I tried it on myself because I was worried that it may hurt him especially since I've read reviews where the level was set so much lower. I'm happy to report that it wasn't painful at all. It just felt like an uncomfortable snap. In any case, my dog doesn't yelp or whine or anything. He just stops and looks at me with a slightly confused look. Like he's wondering what the sensation was.

The longer contact points were perfect because my dog has a thick coat.I also like that it has a long range at 3/4 miles. I can let him run around the property and I don't worry too much. The night light is a great addition as well because he sometimes stays out late and that makes it easier for me to spot him.

Training with this collar easily trumped the private dog training sessions we took together. My dog has learned so much more and adjusted so much better with this collar and it was only a fraction of the price of the training sessions. I should have just gotten this from the start.

I have a dog with a barking problem. She'd run around the property perimeter and bark at anything that moves - from cars to the neighbors to other animals. I've used this collar on our other dog for basic training and I figure I'll try it and see if it will help with the barking too. It did. I am extremely satisfied with this collar.

Do not waste money on cheap knockoffs that could hurt your dog. Educator Collars may cost a bit more but they are seriously the best e-collars you can possibly get. This one was purchased for my German Shepherd with some behavior issues. I used the vibration for training. He has it on for 8-10 hours every day. The battery life is great. Training videos are available online if you need some help getting started. Seriously. This is a tremendous help.

We have a large dog and used the vibration for training. I was worried it might be difficult to use and my wife may have trouble with it because she's not the most tech-savvy. It was a potential issue because it's mainly her and the dog at home all day. But it turns out I shouldn't have worried. This e collar is easy to use and operate. The wife absolutely loves it. If she can use it, believe me, anybody can. The dog is also behaving well with this collar on so I am very satisfied.

We have a husky that's very stubborn. We've gone through several e-collars with him and nothing worked consistently. This was the only one that did. In just a couple of weeks, our boy has changed into a good boi. The vibration on this collar realy worked for him.

I have a dog that already knows the basic commands. This was purchased to help reinforce the commands. GSP ignores the vibration but responds well to the static.

This is perfect for rowdy and unruly dogs.

I enroled my dog with a professional trainer and this was the collar that he used. I purchased this to continue the training. The collar is not too big or bulky, the charge time is fast and the battery lasts up to 2 days.

This is not the cheapest collar out there but it is worth the money you will spend on it. It's easy to use. The box came with a manual that's easy to follow. I found that I was able to operate the control quite quickly. I highly recommend this.

When I received the product, I immediately tried it and I was initially very upset because it was not working at all. I didn't see where the collar was charging and obviously, it wasn't turning on. I called customer service ready to send the item back and demand a refund. I must say, Educator's customer service is phenomenal. They helped me understand what's going on, walked me through understanding how to use the collar, and generally have been very nice to me about the whole thing. The collar works! I would definitely recommend this company.

Do your research! Watch UTube videos or maybe ask a professional trainer for tips on how to use. This will help your dog so much.

I've used many different e collar brands over the years and this one is my all-time favorite. It's easy to use and I noticed my dog responds well to stimulation even at the very lowest setting. I might transition to just the tone soon.

This collar was recommended by our dog trainer. It's my first time using an ecollar and I am happy that this seems to work well with just a few adjustments.

I'm not sure why people are saying the instructions are difficult. They're not. The manual was easy to follow. My dog responded well to the collar and training has been going very well.
