I like it but it gets dirty quickly

I like this e-collar a lot. If I can improve it, I would just add a small wireless remote like the one available for the ARC model. I'd also maybe improve the material so it doesn't get dirty so quickly.

Works well

My dog is very headstrong. I had to adjust to level 60 before she even started paying attention. That level was uncomfortable for me (tried it on myself) and I was hesitant to go that high (and cannot fathom going even higher) but it does not seem to hurt her and anything lower than that is just ignored.

Very reliable for training

I already have a 1900S that I've been using to train my other dog. I purchased the Black Edition for a new dog that we recently adopted. I like the 1900S but I love the Black Edition. It just looks much sleeker and better. Still with the same great range, durability and reliability.

Everything seems to work just fine

Make sure that the collar fits well. If you have a longer-haired dog, you might want to consider trimming the hair where the contact points touch the skin for more consistent stimulation. I was getting frustrated because the collar didn't seem to work before I found out that the my dog's hair may be blocking the stimulation. A quick shave fixed all the issues.

The Best We've Tried

This is the strongest e-collar we have used. Other brands we've tried didn't have even half the power of this one. We like that the vibration is strong enough to get our dog's attention and we rarely have to use the shock. Our dog listens so much better now. I will stick with Dogtra products in the future.
