"This is a powerful collar and can easily get the attention of a distracted dog. Operation is easy. You have the option to use nick or continuous stimulation and the adjustment knob is fairly easy to use. Dogtra can improve this model further by adding a programmable button so you don't have to adjust the knob all the time. This model is very strong though and may not be the best for smaller dogs. I found that it can cause contact sores on my labradoodle's neck when used for longer than a few hours. He also shakes his head a lot even at the lowest setting. I have ordered hypoallergenic contact points, hoepfully that will help with the sores."

The Dogtra 1900S does the job. We've used Dogtra collars for years and never had issues. This recent purchase is for our second dog. Vibration works great. Nver had to actually use the shock function.

Second collar I have had. Love it. Hardly have to press the button and my dog follows right away. No more running amuck and barking all the time. Other collars just don't compare.

Do you want a good boy? Because this is how you get a good boy. I looked at a lot of ecollars and read quite possibly hundreds of reviews before settling on the Dogtra 1900S. Our GSD Bayoo (not a mispelling. My son cannot say Baloo so Bayoo just stuck) loves running and chasing after small animals and the neighbor's cat. He also barks at every single man that he sees (not women, because he loves the ladies?) Anyway, we were so close to giving up on him when I said we're getting an ecollar. I'm so happy with that decision. It's like he's a totally new dog. Now all we need to do is give a single tap to send a vibration to the collar and he comes runing back. There is a shock button on this remote too but we haven't had to use that yet. I just wish we did this sooner, maybe the neighbor's cat wouldn't hate us so much now.

This works great. I have a pitbull mix. 2 years old. Very hardheaded. This collar gets his attention and gets him to follow commands.

My dog is leash-aggressive. He would lunge at other dogs while on walks. I tried muzzling him. I tried prong collar treats. Nothing worked. I came across an article online suggesting ecollars and I just wish I tried this first. It took a bit of conditioning but now, I just give him a very low shock whenever we pass another dog and he stops. No lunging, no barking, none of the previously aggressive behavior. This collar has really helped us a lot. I am so impressed. Thank you!

I have a collie that's almost a year old. Such a good girl inside the house. But open the door and out she goes! It would have been fine if I have a small fenced-in yard. But no, I live on a farm. That basically means I spend a good chunk of my time chasing the crazy girl all over the field. Yell all I want, she ain't coming till she's ready. I tried this collar on her and what do you know. Girly knows how to listen again. I only ever did go as high as level 12 on the dial. That's enough to get her to stop and run back to me. This collar works just wish its cheaper.

My dog trainer suggested this for my Australian Shepherd. She's doing good with this collar. It feels very durable and there's a wide range of settings and features that would work with any dog. Just make sure you know how to use properly so you don't hurt your dog.

I had a different Dogtra remote training collar that I used with my old dog. It worked really well and lasted years. When I got my lab, I wanted to get another Dogtra collar to help with training but preferably something that's less bulky than my old one. The 1900S fit the bill perfectly.

This trainer feels very sturdy and is more convenient to carry compared to the older models. It's also very easy to use. It has multiple dials so it's easy to progressively adjust the stimulation if needed. There's an LCD screen that shows the level. It's a bit dark for me but it's workable.

The battery life on this is excellent. My dog is very stubborn with major separation anxiety issues.He is responding well to the vibration which is fanstatic because I did not want to use shock.

I know a lot of people do not like using shock collars but trust me when I say this can save you a lot of worry and can help keep your dog safe. If you use this correctly, it will make you and your dog a better team.

This is a great product. We've had this for less than a month and we're already seeing significant progress with our German Shepherd. He was a very reactive dog, quite excitable. Our trainer recommended this collar. We like the Dogtra brand and PetsTEK is an official partner so we felt good with the purchase. It is a little more expensive that we hoped to spend but the quality is good and justifies the price. The remote feels very well made. It's sturdy and easy to use. One charge lasts for days.

We're extremely happy so far. We love not having to worry that our dog will get hurt or hurt others. We like the way the buttons are placed on the remote. It's easy to know what to press even without looking at it all the time. The "Nick" function is also a great feature to have, very helpful in training.

I like the vibration feature. We use it with the "come" command and our dog listens almost all the time. If he' being a little stubborn, we adjust the setting one level higher and it does the trick.

I am not a dog trainer and was scared to purchase this because I didn't know what to do with it. I have a Shiba that's just very stubborn and I felt like I would end up hurting her. I hired a trainer to teach me how to use this Dogtra 1900S and help me with training. We have done amazing things so far. The 1900S goes to 127 but we've only reached as high as setting 15. I don't want it to be too high and harm my dog but at the same time I needed him to start listening to commands. I'm happy to say that my dog is now off leash. I don't even use the shock anymore. He listens to basic commands like No or Come. If he needs reminder, I use the vibrate and say the command together. The only downside is I cannot add another dog to this. There is a 2-dog model but I think I will just have to buy another 1900S when my rescue arrives.

We have a massive mastiff puppy that's already above 70kgs. We needed a strong and durable collar that can handle him. The 1900S fits the bill quite nicely. The build is great. The battery lasts a long time. The collar can be adjustd easily to fit large dog necks. Training is going extremely well.
