I would have given this 5 stars but I am not sure why there in no on/off switch on either the remote or collar. I guess it's okay because my dog cannot accidentally turn it off but at the same time, I can't leave it on my dog but turn it off to save the battery.

We needed a collar that would help capture our dog's attention and help her refocus. This is excatly what we needed.

This is a wonderful device. I was doing basic obedience training for my beagle and it was going well except she absolutely hates being on a leash. I found myself in a constant pulling battle with her and worried I might be hurting her without meaning to. I purchased this collar to help with the pulling and it's nothing short of miraculous. One very low shock on day 1 stopped her from bolting. I use the collar when we're outside. With this collar, I'm confident she won't chase anything without a signal from me.

This works well with my beagle. With regulat use, I can usually get at least 3 days on a single charge. The range is very short though (300 feet). I guess that's good for a backyard or lawn but I live in a slightly larger area and the range is not enough.

DO NOT PURCHASE UNLESS YOU KNOW HOW TO USE PROPERLY. I had a trainer helping me with this and I feel like if you don't know what you're doing, you can potentially harm your dog.

My dog Moxie constantly barks at people, other animals, passing cars, pretty much any movement outside the window will trigger a flurry of barking. I tried "removing the trigger" as some online articles suggested and made sure the window is always closed and the curtains are always drawn. It didn't help at all. Moxie still HEARS EVERYTHING and would still bark and growl at ANYTHING.

I contacted a dog trainer who came to my house to work with Moxie. She used this collar along with the exercises and commands. It took a few weeks but it worked. No more mouthy dog. In fact, I have a sweetheart of a dog now. If she starts to bark, I just say "Hush" and she stops and would go for her toys instead. very happy with this collar.

Dogtra collars are easy to use and very compact. They're also very durable and will last decades. This is our third Dogtra collar. Will not buy anything else.

I had a Dogtra collar before. Used it for years with no issues. It finally stopped working and I bought a cheaper brand. It barely lasted half a year. I'm now back to using Dogtra. They're the best.

My pitbull is a rescue and has had a tough life before coming to live with me. He can get very aggressive, specially towards my other dogs. I got this collar to fix the aggressiveness and so far it's working well. One shock at a very low level is enough to correct the behavior.

I have another ecollar from a different company that I feel works better than the 200C. It has more features, fits my hand better and has a wider range. The vibration on this is very strong, definitely more aggressive than the other collar. No tone option.

Our puppy is non-responsive to training. We purchased this, watched a few training videos and now we have a very well-behaved dog. Thumbs up!

I read somewhere that dog training is both for the human and the dog and it couldn't be more right. Dog training can be very frustrating, more so if you have a stubborn pet. This collar has made training SO MUCH EASIER for both of us. It has improved our communication and set clearer expectations. 5 stars!

Dogtra has training videos posted on YouTube if you don't know how to use a collar. It's a great training tool, just make sure you know what you're doing. We use the vibration function with our dog and she understands it well and is learning quickly.

Still getting used to using a dial as I had one with a digital scale previously but this is still a good model. Very nice quality an fair price

My dog is sweet but very stubborn. I charge this collar for about 2 hours and it would last around 2-3 days. I use it daily. The shock can be strong so watch that you don't accidentally switch the dial.

I've used other brands before and this is by far the best one. The reason I only gave it 4 stars is my dog is very excitable. When he's in that mood, even the highest level on this collar cannot distract him. It's enough to keep him calm on other days though.
